Migration Wizard

Create and configure new migration jobs with a step-by-step guided wizard. The migration wizard helps you set up source connections, map users, configure options, and start migrations with validation at each step.

Wizard Steps

The migration wizard guides you through the complete setup process in 6 steps: Source, Target, Scope, Users, Options, and Review.

Step 1: Select Source

Choose the migration source type and configure connection settings.

  • Google Workspace — Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts
  • IMAP Server — Any IMAP-compatible server
  • Exchange — On-premises Exchange
  • PST Files — Import PST archives

Select or create a credential for the chosen source, then test the connection before proceeding.

Step 2: Select Target

Choose the Microsoft 365 tenant where data will be migrated.

Step 3: Define Scope

Select which workloads and data types to include in the migration.

Workloads

  • Email (Gmail) — Messages, labels, attachments
  • Files (Drive) — My Drive and Shared Drives
  • Calendar — Events and meetings
  • Contacts — Personal contacts

Date Range

Options: All time (recommended), Last 1 year, Last 2 years, Last 5 years, or Custom date range.

Step 4: Map Users

Map source users to target Microsoft 365 accounts. Use Auto-Map by Email, Import CSV, or Manual Map.

Step 5: Configure Options

Customize migration behavior and scheduling.

  • Convert Google formats to Office — Enabled
  • Preserve sharing permissions — Enabled
  • Migrate labels as folders — Enabled
  • Start Time — Immediately, Tonight at 10:00 PM, This weekend, or Custom date/time

Step 6: Review and Start

Review your migration configuration before starting.

Pre-flight Checks

  • Source credentials valid
  • Target tenant connected
  • All users mapped
  • Sufficient licenses available
  • Storage capacity available

After review, choose Save as Draft or Start Migration.
