Compliance Trends

Track compliance status changes across all managed tenants over time. Monitor policy adherence, identify areas of improvement, and report on compliance program effectiveness.

Overview

The Compliance Trends report provides historical analysis of compliance metrics across your managed Microsoft 365 environments. Track how device compliance, policy adherence, and regulatory requirements are changing over time to demonstrate progress and identify areas needing attention.

Trend Metrics

Device Compliance RatePercentage of Intune-managed devices meeting all policies
Policy CoveragePercentage of devices with compliance policies assigned
Non-compliance Resolution TimeAverage time to resolve non-compliance issues
Compliance ScoreWeighted compliance score across all policies
Regulatory AlignmentAlignment percentage with frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.)

Trend Analysis

The report tracks compliance across multiple dimensions:

  • Overall compliance rate — Aggregate compliance percentage over time
  • Per-policy compliance — How each policy is performing over time
  • Per-tenant compliance — Compare compliance across managed tenants
  • Compliance by platform — Windows, iOS, Android, macOS trends
  • Resolution velocity — How quickly non-compliance issues are addressed

Compliance Categories

  • Device Compliance — Intune compliance policies and device health
  • Data Compliance — DLP policies, retention, sensitivity labels
  • Identity Compliance — MFA, conditional access, authentication policies
  • Communication Compliance — Email and messaging policy adherence
